Your Initial Examination Appointment

We look forward to meeting you at your initial examination appointment.

At this initial appointment we will review the your health history.  Please be kind enough to complete the history at home and bring it with you to the initial visit.  Following the review of your medical and dental history Dr. Cohen will evaluate the health of your teeth, gums, the alignment of your teeth and the function of the upper and lower jaws.  An oral cancer exam will also be conducted.  This will take approximately one hour depending upon the complexity of the situation.  Also, if you have dental insurance please bring your claim form and benefits book.

After the examination, Dr. Cohen will meet with you to discuss the results of the examination and treatment options.  In more complex situations a second appointment may be needed to discuss options.  You will have the opportunity to ask questions and we will assist you in selecting the treatment that best suits your individual needs.
